Applications are invited for JRF for SERB Project in Therapeutic potential of Nrf2 activators on Endoplasmic Reticulum stress-induced endothelial dysfunction in diabetes

Applications are invited for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India sponsored research project titled “Therapeutic potential of Nrf2 activators on endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced endothelial dysfunction in diabetes’’ tenable at SRM Research Institute (SRM-RI), SRM University, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu-603203, India.

Duration: 3 Years

Minimum Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Biological Science with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA; CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ NET/ GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.
  • Candidates with good academic record, skills in the general technique used in biology (cell culture/qRT-PCR, Western blot, small animal handling and flow cytometry) and excellent communication skills in written and spoken English are desirable.

Registration for Ph.D.: Selected candidate shall register for the Ph.D. programme at SRM University

Emoluments:

  • Candidates will receive a fellowship of Rs. 16,000 plus HRA per month fixed for first two years and Rs. 18,000 plus HRA per month fixed for the third year.
  • Terms and conditions will be followed as per the DST guidelines.
